How to optimize your Alfa R36 router. This reduces performance on the network. Because most router manufacturers use default channels of 1, 6, and 11, chances are that there will be several signals around you on the same channel (if you are in a city area where you can see 20+ networks, channel crowding can be a major problem). Hey everyone =]
Recently got myself the Alfa R36 and Alfa AWUS036H to use in my mobile home.
Lots of tutorials to set it up and they are all pretty similar and simple.
I can set up the network fine, but internet doesn't seem to want to come through to the created network. I get some warnings in my router's system log:
MRT_DEL_MFC; Errno(2): No such file or directory
As well as others saying that the origin has been changed. I googled these but couldn't really find anything that relates, or any fixes.
Both the original router and the R36 have updated firmware and this is the second R36 I've used with the same problem, so I guess the problem lies with either the settings on the R36 or in the original router.
If anyone has any experience with these or if you have any suggestions they would be much appreciated. I'm very inexperienced with networks so please go easy.
Thanks again,
englishfellow.

it works fine in my laptop samsung as well as mobile devices.
next day when i wanted to test the wifi in same desktop computer but using windows instead of backtrack5 it didn't work usually it wouldn't connect and if it does the internet very slow it takes one minute to download facebook page or whatever.
i'm wondering why it wouldn't connect to my desktop and work properly in laptop and mobile devices.
note i have access to the router if there any changes i could make it.
this is an image of the router control panel:
i really need to solve for this problem.
